Silane coupling treatment
Uniform surface treatment
Filler surface can be treated with a silane coupling agent at the monolayer level.
Point
- ● Processing agent compatible with respective resin system is viable
 - ● Reduced viscosity when mixed into resin
 - ● Improved resin adhesion

● Mechanism
Surface treatment improves compatibility with resin. This can reduce resin viscosity.
● Effects
-

Difference in interface adhesion strength with resin caused
by presence/absence of the silane coupling treatment -

Reduced resin viscosity as a result
of silane coupling treatment
Compatibility of the matrix with the silica surface and resin improves due to surface treatment.
Physical properties also improve accordingly.
